Network Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure): Designing, building, and operating high-scale production network infrastructure for a global platform with an accent on cloud-native network stacks from Layer 3 to Layer 7. Salary: $157,000 – $185,000 USD

What you will do

• Collaborate with open-source communities to build next-generation service mesh for backend services.
• Develop cross-region gateways and load balancers for global service traffic.
• Deliver edge security systems in partnership with internal security and engineering teams.
• Design multi-region network architecture on public clouds.
• Build software and operational tools to manage production network infrastructure.
• Optimize network performance in collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience in high-growth tech environments.
• Expertise in public cloud network architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including VPC and PrivateLink.
• Experience running large-scale networking systems like edge proxies, DNS, CDN, or gateways.
• Strong ownership and experience operating high-scale distributed systems.
• Must be based in the United States in a state with a registered hirify.global entity.
• Excellent communication skills and experience leading on-call rotations for production infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Istio and Envoy.
• Contributions to open-source cloud-native projects.
