Mechanical Engineer MTS Sr (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; travel up to 10% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $163,000–$224,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and implement concepts for significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions.
• Lead and execute complex engineering projects and research and development of new technologies.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex engineering problems, perform engineering analysis, and develop innovative solutions.
• Generate product specifications; define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests and experiments.
• Design or modify complex engineering layouts, schematics, detailed drawings, specifications, documentation, and processes.
• Interface with internal and external customers on complex engineering issues, guide less experienced engineers, and contribute to technical strategies.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge in the relevant engineering discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.
• Experience solving unique and complex engineering problems with broad business impact through conceptual and innovative thinking.
• Experience developing new principles, concepts, methods, and technologies for unusually complex systems.
• Ability to anticipate business and regulatory issues and recommend product, process, or service improvements.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas, anticipate objections, and persuade senior stakeholders to adopt different technical approaches.
• Ability to work within safety guidelines while designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and compiling technical reports.
• Recognized technical expertise demonstrated through significant technology contributions, critical patents, awards, or published papers within the last five years.
