Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the New York office (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office)
Salary: $130,000 – $160,000

What you will do
- Build, validate, and refine defensible analytical cyber risk models for single-risk and aggregate insurance products.
- Integrate cybersecurity, insurance, and risk modeling through research and large datasets.
- Translate complex threat intelligence into model inputs like frequencies, severities, and loss trends.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to transition research models into production.
- Present model findings and loss drivers to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Contribute to technical documentation, industry studies, and informational content.
Requirements
- Must be able to work from the New York office 2 days per week.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative modeling, econometrics, or statistical analysis with large datasets.
- Programming literacy in Python and SQL.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for summarizing technical analysis for non-technical decision-makers.
- Genuine interest in cybersecurity and aptitude for learning new technical domains.
- Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Nice to have
- Experience with catastrophe or risk quantification models.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance concepts, including cyber insurance and loss ratios.
- Graduate degree in a related quantitative or engineering discipline.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
- Experience working in an agile team or startup environment.
