Data Scientist (Defensive Cyber Operations): Developing and implementing machine learning solutions for defensive cyber operations with an accent on technical design, architecture standards, and end-to-end workflows. Location: On-site in Fort Meade, MD. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is strictly required

Salary: $120,000 - $170,000 a year

What you will do

• Oversee technical design, development, and implementation of large-scale software products and solutions for clients.
• Define architecture requirements and establish standards for design and development.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for the development team, including prioritizing tasks and reviewing work of lower-level developers.
• Collaborate with management and customers to determine product feasibility and the viability of design plans.
• Integrate emerging technologies and product supportability into the implementation process.
• Provide product demonstrations and participate in industry panels, seminars, and trade shows.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required for consideration
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience (advanced degree may be considered in lieu of years of experience).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of experience in Defensive Cyber Operations.
• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Expertise in R and SQL for manipulating large and small data sets.
• Exposure to AWS, Cisco (CCNA), STIGs/IAVA, or Big Data Platform (BDP).
• Strong background in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), Windows, and virtual environments.
• Experience with Jupyter Notebooks and network analysis tools.
