Senior Data Scientist (Security Clearance Required)

Location: Primarily telework-based, with occasional meetings at client locations in Arlington, Virginia or Pensacola, Florida, and hirify.global facilities in the Washington, DC metro area. US citizenship and an active security clearance are required.

Salary: $131,256.00–$223,134.00 per year

What you will do

• Gather knowledge from customer subject matter experts and convert it into algorithms.
• Analyze large data sets using mathematical and statistical methods to identify actionable insights.
• Design and deploy deep learning algorithms, predictive models, custom data models, and related tools.
• Evaluate data sources, data-gathering techniques, model performance, and data accuracy.
• Critique and refine intermediate results to improve algorithmic outcomes.
• Interpret and communicate analytical results to non-technical customers.

Requirements

• Active security clearance required.
• US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of experience or a master’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, computational linguistics, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of practical experience in data science, machine learning models, natural language processing, question answering, text mining, information retrieval, distributional semantics, or knowledge engineering.
• Strong experience with mathematical, statistical, data mining, and data analysis methods and tools.

Nice to have

• Experience productizing machine learning algorithms and delivering data science components for software products.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, NLP, graph theory, and network analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, R, or another programming language.
• Experience with experimental design, hypothesis validation, SQL, and the Databricks Intelligence Platform.
• CompTIA Security+ or a higher-level certification.
