What you will do
- Lead end-to-end research including user interviews, usability testing, focus groups, and mixed-methods studies.
- Define research strategy, choosing the right methodologies to mitigate risk and inform product decisions.
- Build and refine AI agents to automate research planning, data synthesis, and reporting.
- Establish research standards, templates, and best practices to scale the team's output.
- Analyze behavioral data and call transcripts to surface trends that shape the product roadmap.
- Travel to partner schools for in-person field research and stakeholder interviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in an applied research setting (product, UX, or academic).
- Hands-on expertise with the full range of research methods and study design.
- Strong proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Must be based in the US and willing to travel for field research.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to influence executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Master’s or PhD in HCI, Psychology, Statistics, or related field.
- Experience using AI tools like Claude Code for research automation.
- Proficiency with Pendo and other product-analytics platforms.
- Background in EdTech or multi-stakeholder domains.
