What you will do

• Investigate potential market manipulation and trading misconduct using advanced data analysis and AI-powered tools.
• Design and build AI solutions, including large language model (LLM) applications, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.
• Partner with attorneys and surveillance analysts to deliver well-reasoned investigative findings for active cases.
• Collaborate with external regulators and industry bodies to align on referrals and market integrity efforts.
• Manage multiple concurrent investigations, ensuring highly organized and well-documented data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data science or AI engineering.
• Proven ability to apply machine learning techniques and data visualizations to solve complex, ambiguous problems.
• Experience or genuine interest in equities or options markets and the regulatory landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be based in or able to work from Washington DC in a hybrid capacity (at least 3 days in-office).

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience building with Generative AI or agentic systems.
