What you will do

• Drive architectural direction and technical strategy for threat operations across Kubernetes, edge platforms, and the global network.
• Design and build massive-scale data pipelines to collect and analyze threat intelligence, identifying TTPs and IOCs.
• Develop and champion agentic AI workflows and AI-assisted development to accelerate threat hunting and investigation.
• Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Legal, and Product teams to translate security requirements into scalable production solutions.
• Mentor engineering talent, setting high standards for code quality, system design, and operational rigor.
• Own operational excellence, including participation in on-call rotations and incident response.

Requirements

• Must be based in Austin, TX (Hybrid).
• 15+ years of cybersecurity experience with a focus on building systems for adversarial trends and reputation services.
• 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in Go and/or TypeScript, with experience in Kubernetes and edge computing (e.g., hirify.global Workers).
• Deep expertise in threat intelligence, adversarial analysis, and the Cyber Kill Chain.
• Experience with critical data pipelines (Kafka, Temporal), SQL (PostgreSQL), and caching layers (Redis) at scale.

Nice to have

• Experience in Trust & Safety, phishing detection, malware analysis, or fraud prevention.
• Proficiency in writing detection rules using YARA, Snort, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Rust, Terraform, and React for internal tooling.
• Deep understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP, and web security standards.
