Cloud Security Engineer (AI)

Location: London, England; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design and implement secure architectures across AWS cloud environments.
• Build protective and detective controls, monitoring capabilities, and detection engineering systems.
• Investigate security incidents, lead technical response activities, and coordinate containment, remediation, and recovery.
• Build automation to improve the scalability, reliability, and effectiveness of cloud security controls.
• Partner with infrastructure and product engineering teams to embed security into cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code workflows, and engineering practices.
• Develop cloud security standards and help shape AI-assisted detection, automated investigations, and continuous monitoring.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cloud security, security engineering, detection engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong experience securing and operating production AWS environments.
• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, modern attack techniques, and security best practices.
• Experience with threat detection, monitoring, security controls, incident investigations, and remediation.
• Strong programming skills, including experience building automation, security tooling, or operational workflows.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, cloud-native technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling detection engineering, threat hunting, or security operations capabilities.
• Experience with CNAPP technologies or large-scale cloud security monitoring.
• Experience applying AI to detection, response, threat analysis, or security operations.
• Familiarity with AWS networking, identity, and cloud security patterns.
• Experience in large-scale SaaS environments and high-growth companies.
