Senior Sales Engineer (DevTools): Proving the value of developer productivity tools and enterprise infrastructure for North American customers with an accent on technical discovery and POC execution. Location: Remote, USA (Optional offices in Burlington, MA; New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL)
Salary: $175,750 - $219,687 a year

What you will do
- Partner with Account Executives across the full sales cycle, from discovery and demos to POC trials and closing.
- Conduct deep technical discovery to map customer architecture and workflows to ROI-driven solutions.
- Design and deliver compelling technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal product, marketing, and delivery teams.
- Provide architectural guidance on solution fit, implementation approach, and risk tradeoffs.
- Contribute to the technical community through conference sessions, webinars, blog posts, and open source engagement.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science with 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role (pre-sales or solutions engineering).
- Hands-on experience with Java and/or C/C++ enterprise development and build acceleration tools.
- Strong Linux background including expertise in RHEL, Debian, SLES, and hybrid deployment patterns.
- Experience with open source software adoption and CNCF technologies (Kubernetes, Kafka, etc.).
- Cloud platform experience with AWS or Azure and understanding of cloud-native architecture.
- Must be based in the USA.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Ansible, Terraform).
- Proficiency with containerization and virtualization at scale (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Familiarity with HPC, scientific computing, or performance engineering tools like TotalView.
- Practical experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
