What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and hire a software development team.
- Own the design, development, testing, and deployment of distributed software systems and services.
- Build and lead multi-team, cross-functional projects for network monitoring, detection, and automated remediation.
- Use telemetry, big-data techniques, and ML/AI to identify network impairments and enable automated mitigation.
- Partner with senior executives and technical leaders on business planning, resource requirements, and long-term technical strategy.
- Support career development and hiring across the broader engineering organization.
Requirements
- Experience managing engineering teams and working as an engineer.
- Knowledge of software, hardware, and network development lifecycles, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
- Experience defining and developing multi-tier web services.
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
- Ability to communicate technical designs, software features, product strategy, and requirements to users, technical teams, and senior leadership.

- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineers.
- Experience improving engineering team skills and effectiveness.
