Senior Electrical Engineer (Robotics): Developing robust and reliable electronics for the next generation of Digit humanoids with an accent on PCB design, component selection, and hardware verification. Location: Hybrid - Fremont, CA. Must be based in the US and have current authorization to work in the United States. Regular travel to Salem, Oregon is required (approx. one week per month).
Salary: $174,000 – $226,000 USD

What you will do
- Implement PCB schematics and oversee layout to create high-quality engineering deliverables for release.
- Identify, select, and qualify electronic components and generate new parts and symbols.
- Create and execute engineering verification checklists and document results for cross-functional design reviews.
- Perform rapid prototyping and bring-up of electrical systems at the board level.
- Implement designs for emissions, testability, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Conduct debugging and root cause analysis for hardware and software defects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years of professional electrical design experience.
- Deep expertise with Altium for component generation and schematic entry.
- Experience managing PCB layout designers and writing layout briefs.
- Strong knowledge of embedded controls, high-speed differential signaling, microcontrollers, and power electronics.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree with specific robotics experience.
- Experience with high-capacity Li batteries, BMS, or DC-DC conversion.
- Knowledge of sensor fusion (Lidar, radar, cameras) and RF SOM/antenna design.
- Experience with flex circuit design and cable harness design in Altium.
- Proficiency in analog design, sensing, and instrumentation.
- Experience with BLDC motors and motor control.
- Project management experience using Jira.
