What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and management of scalable data assets and high-availability pipelines.
• Spearhead the discovery, evaluation, and integration of new datasets, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure relevance to core products.
• Develop secure, HIPAA-compliant transformations to normalize information across various hospital workflows and EMR sources (e.g., FHIR).
• Translate analytical vision into highly functional data structures and scheduled transformation pipelines.
• Establish and guide architectural standards for data engineering practices to foster a culture of innovation.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Proven expertise in quality data pipeline design, development, and optimization for applications and ML.
• Advanced ability to interpret complex datasets, identify anomalies, and extract meaningful insights.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills to explain technical components to non-technical partners.
• Ability to independently lead ambiguous data initiatives from inception to completion.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience operating scalable cloud-based data platforms in production.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, SnowPro, Microsoft Fabric, or dbt).
• Experience with MLOps and maintaining machine learning models and infrastructure.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain.
