TL;DR

Senior Credit Risk Manager (Fintech): Designing and optimizing credit decisioning strategies for a credit card portfolio with an accent on responsible lending and portfolio growth. Focus on building monitoring suites, developing return forecasting models, and conducting data-driven experimentation using Python and SQL.

Location: Hybrid (Must be based in Virginia, USA)

Salary: US$175,000 - US$250,000 per year

What you will do

  • Optimize credit decisioning including target audience selection, credit limits, and interest rates.
  • Define and refine credit strategies aligned with evolving portfolio goals and economic trends.
  • Own the end-to-end testing ecosystem, including experimentation design and statistical result interpretation.
  • Build and maintain a monitoring and analytics suite for credit performance and unit economics.
  • Develop models to forecast returns, value the portfolio, and drive investor reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and data teams to implement strategy improvements.

Requirements

  • Daily professional coding experience with Python and SQL.
  • Proven experience in credit risk strategy, specifically within consumer lending.
  • Deep understanding of experimentation, measurement, and statistical inference.
  • Strong knowledge of credit performance and unit economics in lending.
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Virginia, USA.
