Senior Requirements & Concepts Engineer (Systems Engineering): Developing system concepts, requirements, and architecture for strategic defense, hypersonic, and space systems with an accent on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering. Focus on designing complex system architectures, conducting requirements analysis, and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-fidelity simulations and prototypes.
Location: Must be based in Cambridge, MA (consistent on-site support highly preferred)
Salary: $82,300 - $220,000

What you will do
- Lead the development of system concepts, requirements, and architectures for strategic defense, hypersonic, and space systems.
- Utilize MBSE and digital engineering techniques to manage requirements within a digital ecosystem of design artifacts.
- Develop simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) platforms for proof of concept, design development, and prototyping.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to manage requirements and interface designs for strategic sensors and navigation systems.
- Identify program-level technical risks and develop and execute effective mitigation strategies.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and lead small teams to align with program goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering with a strong emphasis on requirements engineering.
- Practical experience with the systems engineering process and familiarity with MBSE or digital engineering tools.
- Proficiency with SysML, DOORS, and other engineering analysis tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Ability to support on-site consistently in Cambridge, MA.
Nice to have
- Experience with MagicDraw, MATLAB/Simulink, or Python.
- Knowledge of GN&C, avionics architectures, fault tolerance, or cyber security.
- Expertise with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or DoDAF.
- Experience integrating descriptive modeling tools with simulation tools.
