Platform Product Manager (Fintech)

TL;DR

Platform Product Manager (Fintech): Establishing the first product management function within the Platform Engineering department to drive engineering velocity and system reliability with an accent on developer experience and internal customer feedback. Focus on building a unified platform roadmap, introducing SLOs, and championing self-service tooling to reduce manual toil.

Location: Hybrid (London), must be based in the UK and available to work from the Moorgate office 3 days per week

What you will do

• Own and communicate a prioritized Platform roadmap across Cloud & Platform Operations and Developer Experience groups.
• Drive system reliability by establishing metrics (MTTD, MTTR, MTBF) and introducing SLOs and error budgets.
• Establish structured feedback loops with internal customers (Product Engineering teams).
• Implement iterative delivery practices to break down long-running projects into milestones.
• Define and measure Platform ROI through developer hours saved and infrastructure optimization.
• Champion the creation of golden paths and self-service tooling to improve developer experience.

Requirements

• Proven product management experience, ideally within platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling environments.
• Strong commercial instinct and a user-first mindset applied to internal engineering customers.
• Experience introducing product practices into departments where they did not previously exist.
• Ability to perform data-driven prioritization and define success metrics.
• Collaborative communication style with the ability to align engineering leaders and stakeholders.
• Must be based in or be able to commute to London for the required hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with metrics such as DORA, DX Core 4, or SPACE.
• Familiarity with incident management frameworks.
• Knowledge of DevEx tooling or cloud infrastructure concepts.
