Client Engagement Intern (Humanitarian Services)

What you will do

• Support intake and RCA specialists with scanning, organizing documents, and entering case notes.
• Assist clients in-person and via phone with booking and preparing for intake appointments.
• Provide live and written translation services for clients, specifically in Spanish or Haitian Creole.
• Execute outreach campaigns to share information about IRC services through phone, message, and email.
• Coordinate the planning and execution of client events and collect feedback data.
• Conduct research on community resources and networks to support client referrals.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• Current or recent graduate (within last 2 years) from a post-secondary institution in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
• Fluency in a second language (strong preference for Spanish and/or Haitian Creole).
• Ability to work 15-20 hours per week onsite at the Elizabeth, NJ office.
• Experience with data entry, case management software, and maintaining client records.
• Strong interest or previous experience working with refugees and immigrants.
