Power Engineer

Location: Onsite in Bournemouth, Exeter, Southampton or Plymouth, United Kingdom, five days per week. Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours. DV Security Clearance is required, and candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to ohirify.globalain clearance.

Salary: Competitive salary plus benefits. A £5,000 annual allowance may be payable monthly while holding DV clearance and working in a role requiring that level of clearance.

What you will do

• Deliver customer networks, platforms, and systems related to power and connectivity.
• Establish technical objectives and delegate responsibilities across delivery activities.
• Direct work resourcing, own site issues, and resolve technical problems.
• Coordinate stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and concurrent engineering projects.
• Provide technical coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

• Knowledge of transmission networks and network management platforms.
• Experience with network installation, integration, and testing.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to capture requirements clearly with stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
• Experience installing equipment in compliance with the UK Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and associated regulations.
• DV Security Clearance and at least 10 years of UK residency are required.

Nice to have

• Experience upgrading and decommissioning mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment at GSE sites.
• Experience identifying and repairing faults found during planned maintenance.
