What you will do
- Optimize corporate structure, intercompany agreements, and financing to minimize tax leakage and maximize value.
- Manage group tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT, and payroll taxes across the UK, US, and other expanding jurisdictions.
- Lead the end-to-end external audit process, resolving queries and delivering statutory accounts on time.
- Ensure all compliance financial reporting obligations for Companies House, Ofgem, and HMRC are met accurately.
- Map operational and corporate risks to procure and maintain appropriate insurance cover (PI, D&O, liability).
- Handle corporate administration, including new entity incorporation and company secretarial tasks.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent) with strong tax and audit grounding.
- Experience in group structuring, transfer pricing design, or M&A tax.
- Proven track record of managing external audits and multi-entity statutory reporting.
- Solid working knowledge of UK tax laws.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Must be based in or able to work on-site in London.
Nice to have
- Experience standing up entities in new jurisdictions.
- Background in energy, trading, or other regulated sectors.
- Familiarity with insurance procurement and risk mapping.
