Base pay: $108,400–$149,100 per year

What you will do
- Serve as the organization’s Radiation Safety Officer and primary contact for regulatory agencies.
- Develop and maintain the corporate radiation safety program, including equipment registrations, licensing, dosimetry, monitoring, site surveys, logs, and audits.
- Deliver radiation safety training and lead emergency response and investigations for radiation-related incidents.
- Configure, calibrate, and maintain nondestructive testing equipment.
- Perform computed tomography and other NDT inspections, develop testing techniques, apply acceptance criteria, and interpret results.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
- Documented formal Radiation Safety Officer training and certification, such as a 40-hour RSO course, or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months.
- Current or previous NAS410 certification in non-film radiographic testing, including at least 80 hours of formal classroom training and 800 hours of documented on-the-job training.
- Required nonmedical computed tomography experience in aviation or aerospace.
- Experience performing NDT tasks, interpreting inspection results, and writing detailed inspection reports.
- Manufacturing experience in aerospace or another highly regulated industry; willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
Nice to have
- Current or previous Radiation Safety Officer certification.
- Ability to achieve NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing, Eddy Current Testing, or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
- Experience with MES/SAP inspection plans, First Article Inspections, Model-Based Definition, dimensional models, or Teamcenter.
