What you will do
- Serve as the primary Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), acting as the main contact for regulatory agencies.
- Develop and maintain the corporate Radiation Safety Program in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage equipment registrations, dosimetry programs, radiation monitoring, and conduct site surveys.
- Perform NDT inspections using Computed Tomography and non-film radiographic testing to detect aircraft defects.
- Configure and calibrate NDT equipment and develop tailored testing techniques.
- Compile detailed test reports and distribute findings to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Formal training and certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- NAS410 non-film radiographic testing certification (min. 80h classroom and 800h OJT).
- Experience with Computed Tomography (CT) in aviation/aerospace (non-medical).
- Work experience in manufacturing environments within aerospace or highly regulated industries.
- Must have valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship provided).
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Nice to have
- Current or previous certification as Radiation Safety Officer.
- NDT Level II Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), or Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI).
- Experience using MES/SAP systems for electronic inspection plans.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and proficiency with Model-Based Definition (MBD).
- Experience with Teamcenter.
