Senior Manager, Supplier Quality Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $140,500–$183,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Lead supplier quality engineering activities for electrical and electronic aircraft components, including PCBAs, wiring harnesses, connectors, semiconductors, and power electronics assemblies.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and integration issues at supplier sites, covering PCBA fabrication, cable and harness manufacturing, box builds, and electrical system integration.
• Build and lead technical teams through an OEM production ramp while balancing immediate production issues with scalable long-term processes.
• Assess supplier tooling, fixturing, testing infrastructure, process control, thermal stability, durability, and production-rate capability.
• Translate technical risks into actionable recommendations for executive leadership, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Use PLM, ERP, and QMS systems to improve supplier transparency and support data-driven quality decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Supplier Industrialization, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Engineering, with additional relevant experience in Quality, Operations, or Supply Chain management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related STEM field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Deep expertise in electrical and electronic manufacturing, including PCBA, wiring harnesses, avionics, flight control systems, or environmental control systems.
• Proficiency in AS9100, AS9145, APQP/PPAP, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone.
• Experience working in aerospace, automotive, or other regulated high-reliability electronics environments.
