Salary: $126,700–$158,400 base pay per year

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain CAD-based factory layouts, station arrangements, space allocations, and production flows.
  • Integrate material flow, kitting, and logistics paths to reduce handling costs and work-in-progress accumulation.
  • Build capacity models covering labor, equipment, and facility footprint requirements for production-rate scenarios.
  • Prepare CapEx justifications and ROI analyses for layout investments, line reconfigurations, and facility expansions.
  • Define facility utility requirements and coordinate equipment footprints, installation clearances, and infrastructure integration.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Construction, Quality, EHS, Automation, and Equipment Engineering teams through line commissioning and production handoff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or factory design and planning.
  • Experience developing complex factory layouts in CAD, such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong knowledge of capacity planning, takt analysis, line balancing, and production flow optimization.
  • Experience supporting facility commissioning, heavy equipment installation, or new production line start-ups.
  • Work authorization must be available without company-sponsored visa support.

Nice to have

  • Experience in automotive, electric vehicle, aerospace, or other highly automated and complex manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with greenfield facility builds or large-scale factory expansion programs.
  • Experience with factory simulation and 3D layout tools such as FlexSim, Siemens Tecnomatix/Plant Simulation, DELMIA, or Arena.
  • Exposure to MES, ERP, SCADA, digital twin, or PLM integration in factory environments.
  • Experience collaborating with architecture firms, infrastructure engineering partners, or general contractors.
