Salary: $154,200 - $215,800

What you will do

  • Solve recurring issues in complex composite structures by providing manufacturing input on processing and tooling.
  • Mentor manufacturing engineers and technicians, establishing best practices and a culture of ownership.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions as the primary shop floor subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with the design team to integrate manufacturing input during initial design stages.
  • Develop new composite processing techniques, materials, and tooling methods.
  • Manage tooling strategies and fixture development for high-precision prototype builds.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in aerospace manufacturing, specializing in airframe assembly and composite structures.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on fabrication skills with composite materials and assembly intuition.
  • Proven experience applying DFM principles to complex composite parts (layup, bonding, cure).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX preferred) and experience with Fibersim or Composite Workbench.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.

Nice to have

  • Experience operating autoclaves, laser projectors, ply cutters, and laser trackers.
  • Knowledge of composite inspection techniques, M&P standards, and test equipment.
  • Passion for aviation and eVTOL technology.
