Senior DevOps Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $144,000–$198,000 base pay per year

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD workflows and automated testing pipelines for GNC, vehicle simulation, vehicle management, and integrated test teams.
• Develop automated toolchains to generate, compile, and deploy Simulink and MATLAB code across desktop simulations, HIL hardware, and flight computers.
• Architect and manage HPC infrastructure for Monte Carlo simulations, batch regression testing, and parallelized simulations.
• Manage interfaces between virtual vehicle Simulink models and downstream embedded platforms, including ICDs, data dictionaries, and signal mapping.
• Bridge the Flight Dynamics & Control and platform embedded software teams to ensure reliable real-time execution of flight algorithms.

Requirements

• BS or advanced degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related field, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in modern C/C++ and experience integrating C/C++ with Simulink.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or MATLAB scripting for build and testing automation.
• Ability to use and leverage modern LLMs and AI-based coding tools.
• Experience working in a Linux operating system environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with GNC or vehicle simulation systems in simulation or on hardware.
• MATLAB, Simulink, Simulink Coder, or Embedded Coder expertise.
• Experience with RTOS, HIL systems, communication protocols, DDS, ROS2, or safety-critical standards such as DO-331 and DO-178C.
• Experience packaging and containerizing simulation environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
