What you will do
- Manage airframe structural testing, including fixture and instrumentation design.
- Conduct FEM analysis and hand calculations for primary and secondary aerospace structures.
- Develop company standards for model creation, strength checks, and reporting.
- Perform stress analysis for internal loads, static, fatigue, and damage tolerance.
- Write detailed structural substantiation reports for FAA airworthiness approvals.
- Mentor junior structural analysts in stress, stability, and fracture analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (6+ years exp), Master's (4+ years), or PhD (2+ years).
- Experience in composite and metallic analysis (static and fatigue).
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and Abaqus for model setup and analysis.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship available.
- Ability to travel domestically (approximately 10%).
