What you will do

• Develop safety-critical software components for the flight control system.
• Decompose item requirements into high and low-level software requirements in compliance with DO-178C.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and integrate complex hardware/software flight control systems.
• Develop software plans, processes, and guidelines.
• Conduct software analyses, requirements-based testing, and structural coverage analysis.
• Lead design reviews and optimize software for performance, risk, safety, and cost.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in flight control software or a related field.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree.
• Proficiency with C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and scripting languages like bash and Python.
• Experience developing software complying with safety standards like DO-178C (DAL-A/B) and DO-331.
• Understanding of communication protocols (RS-422/485, CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
• Must be based in Brazil; the company is unable to provide work visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with VHDL, Verilog development, or DO-254.
• Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), multi-threading, and Linux.
• Familiarity with modeling tools like UML or SysML.
• Experience with tools qualification (DO-330).
