What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs for ride-sharing and airline operational platforms.
• Build cloud-native applications and services using Python and AWS.
• Lead architectural design and system integrations, keeping services modular, efficient, and secure.
• Provision and manage backend environments using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS CDK).
• Own the full development lifecycle: design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and drive production issue resolution with debugging and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience delivering scalable backend systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python for backend application development.
• Strong AWS experience (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, ECS/Fargate).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills; strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data modeling (e.g., Postgres, DynamoDB).
• Background in high-availability, real-time systems or event-driven architectures.
• Experience in aerospace, transportation, or ride-share industries.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
