What you will do

• Define and manage the first-line commercial risk strategy and supportability frameworks.
• Provide structured guidance for complex merchant use cases to unlock new revenue streams.
• Translate complex risk policies into actionable commercial playbooks for front-office teams.
• Design and execute continuous portfolio monitoring frameworks to track risk metrics and fraud rates.
• Lead post-mortems on commercial-induced incidents and drive root-cause remediation.
• Act as the strategic interface between GTM teams, the CRO, and second/third-line compliance functions.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of risk management experience in financial services with significant front-office or sales-aligned exposure.
• Deep expertise in at least two areas: credit/portfolio risk, payments/merchant risk, or operational/conduct risk.
• Proven track record of implementing practical risk frameworks within a Three Lines of Defense (3LoD) model.
• Strong analytical data literacy with the ability to define KPIs and balance quantitative metrics with business judgment.
• Exceptional communication skills for navigating risk vs. revenue discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Must be based in Singapore or San Francisco.

• Experience in high-growth, product-led fintech environments.
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks including KYC/AML, sanctions, and card network rules.
