Senior Professional Surveyor (PLS)

Location: Marysville, California, United States; travel to various project sites is required.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct and oversee boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Review survey data and prepare reports, maps, and drawings.
• Operate and maintain total stations, GPS equipment, data collectors, and related software.
• Coordinate requirements and deliverables with project managers, civil engineers, municipalities, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards, while performing quality control and following site safety protocols.
• Mentor junior surveyors and survey crew members and provide project oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive surveying experience on municipal and land development projects.
• California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
• Strong knowledge of Northern California municipal standards, mapping requirements, and agency coordination.
• Proficiency with modern surveying equipment, software, and data management tools.
• Ability to mentor staff and collaborate across disciplines.
