Electrical Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Perform electrical design and power system studies including short circuit, load flow, and arc flash analysis.
• Develop technical deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Support medium and high voltage transmission and distribution projects.
• Coordinate with clients, utilities, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide field assistance, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
• Check the work of designers and drafters for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technology field.
• 2–6 years of experience in utility, industrial power, or oil & gas engineering.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or similar tools.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for field work and client meetings.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote environment.

Nice to have

• FE/EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure.
• Experience with PSS/E or transmission planning tools.
• Exposure to protective relaying and substation systems.
