Accounting Manager

TL;DR

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in line with IFRS and local banking regulations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and accounting sub-processes (AP, AR, fixed assets, treasury accounting, provisions, reconciliations).
• Supervise preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports, ensuring timeliness and quality.
• Maintain internal controls aligned with audit standards and banking regulations; coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
• Lead systems integration projects: data migration, process harmonization, system upgrades, ERP implementations, and integrations with core banking platforms.
• Manage and develop the accounting team and collaborate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Technology stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong banking/financial services accounting background and solid knowledge of IFRS and banking-related accounting standards.
• Proven experience in systems integration projects (ERP implementation, data migration, process mapping, or financial system upgrades).
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, and familiarity with core banking platforms.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and excellent stakeholder management.
