TL;DR
Dispute Specialist (FinCrime/Payments): Manage end-to-end payment dispute handling across card schemes with an accent on evidence preparation, scheme-timeline queue management, and compliance-ready documentation. Focus on identifying dispute risks and trends, coordinating cross-functionally with PayOps/Fraud Operations/Customer Success, and escalating complex or regulatory edge cases while progressing and closing standard cases.
Location: Czech Republic or Spain
Salary: CZK 589,000–813,500 per year (Czech Republic); €30,000–€35,000 per year (Spain)

What you will do
- Handle payment disputes end-to-end: case review, evidence preparation, and submission according to card scheme requirements and internal procedures.
- Manage an assigned dispute queue aligned with scheme timelines, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Maintain audit-ready case documentation, including clear case notes, evidence rationale, and adherence to retention/escalation guidelines.
- Communicate with merchants to explain dispute processes, request supporting documentation, and provide timely updates.
- Identify risks, recurring issues, or process gaps during daily case handling and escalate complex/unusual situations.
- Support basic analysis of dispute trends and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve disputes effectively.
Requirements
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Previous experience in payments, chargebacks, fraud operations, customer operations, or a similar operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail while managing multiple tasks in a structured workflow.
- Ability to interpret internal guidelines, procedures, and technical information accurately.
- Working knowledge of Visa and Mastercard dispute stages, evidence requirements, and key deadlines.
- Confidence using PSP portals and internal dispute tooling in a high-volume operational environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL, Python, PowerBI, or other analysis tools.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve efficiency (summarizing cases, drafting communication, analyzing trends, automating repetitive tasks).
