What you will do

• Own the technical architecture and lifecycle of schema-driven data transformation for CDS integration.
• Design, implement, and validate DFDL schemas for 14 operational message formats.
• Establish schema design standards, naming conventions, and version control strategies.
• Translate Interface Control Documents (ICDs) into enforceable, testable schema implementations.
• Define and implement automated conformance, regression, and integration testing workflows.
• Provide hands-on development support and mentor engineers within the CDS workstream.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required
• Must be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience leading a technical workstream or mentoring a small team
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, or C++)

Nice to have

• Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) or secure data transport
• Familiarity with DFDL or schema-driven transformation technologies
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or space operations environments
• Current DoD Security Clearance
