Senior Software Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (API/Java/Python): Design and build high-performance RESTful APIs, microservices, and data-ingest pipelines for modernized storage and analytic data organization with an accent on secure, cloud-ready code and CI/CD-driven Develop-Low / Deploy-High (L2H) workflows. Salary: $137,000.00 - $182,000.00 - $200,200.00 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python frameworks.
• Build and integrate backend services, data pipelines, and enterprise application components.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, data engineers, and UI/UX developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Develop automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes in Agile environments.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across distributed systems.
• Support cloud-native deployments, containerization, and secure software development practices.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active U.S. Government security clearance at the TS/SCI level with a CI polygraph.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience developing applications using Java and Python.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, web services, and backend integrations.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and SQL development; experience with Git and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot, Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and API gateway technologies.
• Security+ certification or familiarity with secure coding and RMF principles.
• Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or other federal government programs.
