Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in the Mountain View or San Francisco offices, California, United States.

Estimated base salary: $170,000–$220,000 per year, plus equity.

hirify.global is building an AI-native healthcare platform spanning clinical documentation, patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous revenue cycle management, integrated with more than 60 EHRs.

What you will do

• Build infrastructure for orchestrating, evaluating, and running sub-agents, including the channel adapters through which intelligence flows.
• Research emerging technologies such as LLM tool-calling, browser agents, and self-improving agent harnesses, then turn prototypes into production tools and products.
• Take technologies from first-principles research through product development, customer deployment, and graduation into larger products or workflows.
• Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and observability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and clinical experts to deliver intuitive solutions for real clinical environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional software engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment.
• Strong fullstack skills with Python on the backend; JavaScript and React on the frontend; and working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-powered features in production.
• Experience taking work from early ideation through successful production deployment.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and resourcefulness skills.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with engineers and non-technical stakeholders such as clinical teams.
• Experience in fast-moving environments where shipping quickly is the norm.
