Location: Hybrid in Chicago, IL (requires 4 days per week in office)

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Develop and enhance core system components and support tools for algorithmic execution.
• Design, test, and deploy full-stack system enhancements for high-performance trading.
• Build highly available, horizontally scalable, and mission-critical applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver new features within the trading domain.
• Implement low-latency order routing, algorithmic strategies, and smart order logic.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in developing high-performance algorithmic financial applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or a related STEM field.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python within a Linux environment.
• Deep understanding of financial markets and experience with FIX and binary protocols.
• Expertise in low-latency, multi-threaded programming, and distributed application architecture.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle and Postgres.

Nice to have

• Experience with publish/subscribe multicast protocols.
• Proficiency in optimizing critical code paths.
• Experience in unit test development.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
