Senior Engineer, Invest Tech (AI)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office

Salary: $135,000–$145,000 per year, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Design, build, and support data engineering workflows and platform services for the ETF Vision platform and model delivery ecosystem.
• Develop Python services, APIs, microservices, and data pipelines supporting portfolio analytics, optimization, and investment workflows.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, validation, routing, and large-scale ETL processes using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and related platforms.
• Design and operate distributed, event-driven, and cloud-native architectures using Kafka and AWS services.
• Establish CI/CD, testing, monitoring, logging, data lineage, observability, and reliable deployment practices.
• Partner with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and business teams while participating in production support and on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of software or data engineering experience and 3+ years of hands-on Python and SQL experience.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, pipelines, validation, lineage, error handling, APIs, and service-based architecture.
• Experience with AWS, containerized environments, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing.
• Daily fluency with AI-assisted development tools, including evaluating and correcting AI-generated code for security, performance, and maintainability.
• Portfolio analytics, risk models, asset management, or investment workflow experience is preferred.
