Engineer II, Data (Cloud & AI)

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize cloud-based data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the Enterprise Data Integration Framework.
• Onboard vendor and enterprise data sources and build reusable ingestion, validation, transformation, and data quality frameworks.
• Develop and support AWS-based solutions, Terraform infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code practices, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Improve platform scalability, resiliency, disaster recovery readiness, monitoring, and observability.
• Use AI coding assistants and develop proof-of-concept solutions with LLMs and generative AI services.
• Participate in production support, incident response, root cause analysis, Agile ceremonies, technical design reviews, and collaboration with product and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a relevant master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience building, supporting, or maintaining cloud-based applications, data platforms, or production systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch, IAM, EventBridge, and Athena.
• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark, SQL, API integrations, and Git/GitHub.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development, data validation frameworks, data quality practices, and batch or event-driven processing.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications, financial services experience, data platform engineering, and event-driven architecture experience.
• Experience with large-scale file processing, production support, on-call responsibilities, observability, monitoring platforms, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, or Retrieval Augmented Generation.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, LLM evaluation, AI governance and security, agentic workflows, or AI-powered automation.
