What you will do

• Lead traveling fiber teams, managing daily assignments, resource allocation, and execution based on site surveys and path planning.
• Mentor and train Fiber Technicians across multiple project sites, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee all phases of fiber installation from planning and mobilization through testing, handover, and closeout.
• Perform and lead complex fiber splicing (fusion and mechanical), termination, labeling, and certification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic system issues in both OSP and ISP environments.
• Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other trades to align with overall data center construction schedules.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fiber optic installation and testing in large-scale or hyperscale data center environments.
• 2+ years of experience in a foreman, crew lead, or supervisory role.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50-75% or more) across the US.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Physical ability to work at heights (up to 50ft), lift 35lbs, and work in active construction environments.

Nice to have

• Certification in fiber optics or cable installation (e.g., FOA, BICSI).
• Extensive experience with high-density fiber deployments in HPC or AI environments.
• Background in data center greenfield construction or rapid deployment projects.
