IT Research Facilitator II (HPC)

What you will do

• Consult with researchers to identify the best technology fit for advanced computational needs and coordinate with technology providers.
• Manage end-to-end data workflows, including secure storage, transfer methods, and long-term system access.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the College of Public Health to address compute, storage, and security requirements.
• Design and deliver introductory training and documentation for graduate students and researchers on Research Computing resources.
• Collaborate on grant proposals by contributing technical narratives regarding computing, data management, and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of research environment experience).
• Experience working with Linux in an HPC environment and distributed computing systems, including Slurm.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, and/or Matlab for scientific computing purposes.
• Experience with statistical languages such as SAS, SPSS, or R.
• Proficiency in shell scripting for workflow implementation and HPC job submissions.
• Current work authorization in the United States is required (no visa sponsorship available).
