What you will do

• Investigate and root-cause technical issues reported by enterprise customers using symptoms and evidence.
• Diagnose issues across distributed services using observability tooling like Datadog logs, traces, and metrics.
• Analyze PHP code across multiple repositories to verify hypotheses and trace request flows.
• Query relational databases with SQL to confirm system state and reproduce issues.
• Manage the full ticket lifecycle and partner with engineering teams for high-level escalations.
• Participate in rotational on-call coverage for high-severity incidents during evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Proficiency in reading PHP code to trace logic and verify code paths.
• Hands-on experience with observability and central logging tools (Datadog preferred, Kibana/Elasticsearch a plus).
• Solid SQL skills for querying relational databases and understanding data models.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems concepts (async vs. synchronous) and multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• Strong HTTP and API debugging skills including curl, response headers, REST, and webhook flows.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Hamburg, Germany.
