TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Kubernetes): Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems for IT infrastructure issues with an accent on databases, networks, storage, and Kubernetes troubleshooting. Focus on resolving complex issues through collaboration with cross-functional teams, documenting solutions, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge base in a 24/7 shift model including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Location: Berlin (onsite, modern office with good transport connections). Fluency in German and English required (written and spoken). Security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) required as condition of employment.

What you will do

  • Work in 24/7 shift model including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to databases, networks, storage infrastructure, and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams on complex technical problems.
  • Document solutions and knowledge in ticketing systems and update knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge and basic experience with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management principles.
  • Experience with databases, network, and storage infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Unix-based systems and Linux distributions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), configuration management (Ansible, Salt), Git, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow.
  • ITIL certification or experience in 24/7 technical support environments.
