What you will do

• Apply human-centered design principles to modernize legacy federal systems.
• Translate complex business processes into intuitive UX/UI solutions for enterprise users.
• Design end-to-end user experiences including user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Collaborate within Agile delivery teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Support usability testing and analyze UX metrics to inform iterative design improvements.
• Contribute to design systems and ensure consistency across enterprise applications.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance (eligibility to obtain/maintain Top Secret required).
• 6+ years of professional experience in UX or interaction design.
• Must reside in and perform work within the United States.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in the metro DC area.
• Knowledge of federal UX/UI standards and accessibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Figma for design and prototyping.
• Background in federal or highly regulated systems (e.g., DoD).
• Familiarity with USWDS and cloud-based platform modernization.
