Salary: $174,000 – $205,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the technical vision and coordinate shared direction across multiple engineering teams.
• Contribute hands-on to development while mentoring engineers and unblocking delivery.
• Translate high-level business goals into actionable engineering objectives and architectural roadmaps.
• Lead cross-squad initiatives and drive alignment on complex technical dependencies.
• Define and maintain observability, reliability practices, and SLOs for production services.
• Leverage AI-augmented workflows to accelerate feature specification, coding, and PR reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based within commuting distance of Boston, MA.
• Proven experience in cross-team technical leadership and managing complex dependencies.
• Strong architectural judgment with experience designing scalable, evolvable backend systems.
• Deep backend expertise (Python preferred) with comfort in full-stack environments.
• Operational maturity with a "you build it, you run it" mindset.
• English proficiency: C1 level required.

• Experience in travel, fintech, or domains with complex, constrained underlying systems.
• Strong interest or experience in agentic coding and AI-assisted development.
