Area Maintenance Manager

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, United States; work includes weekends, nights, holidays, and travel as needed.

What you will do

• Lead and develop maintenance technicians responsible for warehouse asset and production equipment reliability.
• Direct preventive and reactive repairs and manage high-severity equipment downtime events.
• Audit maintenance work quality and documentation and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead continuous improvement projects targeting injury rates, equipment uptime, mean time to repair, and system capacity.
• Use data to measure team performance and partner with Operations and Support teams on business goals.
• Coordinate third-party vendors performing maintenance work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience managing a maintenance or operations team in a warehouse or factory.
• Experience with material handling equipment such as conveyors and powered industrial trucks.
• Experience using information systems and data to measure and improve key performance indicators.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and collaborate with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with electromechanical material handling systems, industrial control systems, or electrical systems.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system.
