Mechanical Engineer (Coffee Machines)

Location: Italy; hybrid working model combining office and home

Salary: €48,000–€60,000 gross annual fixed compensation, plus variable compensation linked to company performance and/or structured incentive schemes.

What you will do

• Develop new coffee-machine products and systems, including components, modules, architectures, and requirements.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary mechanical product-development projects and act as the technical interface for project managers, commercial managers, designers, suppliers, and manufacturing experts.
• Release products, components, drawings, and specifications for suppliers and mass production.
• Plan, execute, and steer mechanical development using structured methods, including FMEA, risk assessments, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturing.
• Lead the creation, design, improvement, and finalization of pilot samples during early project stages.
• Coach and coordinate product mechanical engineers, development engineers, product research specialists, and other technical experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience in mechanical product development.
• Experience managing international multidisciplinary projects and coordinating technical teams.
• CAD experience with Unigraphics NX and knowledge of mechanical construction using plastic, rubber, and sheet metal.
• Knowledge of manufacturability, tooling and molding processes, design for assembly and testing, strength and stiffness analysis, drive mechanisms, FMEA, requirements management, and development tools.
• Intermediate English is required. Strong decision-making, communication, coordination, coaching, and teamwork skills are expected.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer electronics or the business-to-consumer sector.
• Design for Six Sigma or Green Belt experience.
• Experience with SAP.
