TL;DR
Automation Tester Engineer (w/m/d) (PLC/Mechatronics): Testing filler machines at the Sidel production plant against technical, contractual, and safety specifications with an accent on machine performance, conformity, and equipment deficiency resolution. Focus on executing testing routes within defined timeframes, following up on non-conformities, and solving automation, motion, hardware, network, mechatronics, and safety issues.

Location: Parma, Italy; onsite at the hirify.global production plant

What you will do

  • Test filler machine performance against technical, contractual, and safety specifications.
  • Check, transfer, or autonomously solve equipment deficiencies.
  • Complete machine testing within the available timeframe and follow the required testing routing.
  • Prepare final testing reports and follow up on non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with other functions to resolve issues and propose improvements to machine operation.
  • Travel for work up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

  • Technical educational background with knowledge of automation fundamentals.
  • Experience with PLC, motion, hardware, network, mechatronics, and safety systems.
  • Skills with B&R, Siemens, or Rockwell systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Written and spoken English required.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a rigorous, dynamic, organized, and proactive approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

  • SAP knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodology.
