What you will do
- Serve as the internal go-to expert on airline network strategy for case teams, explaining how airline networks work and how to make sound network decisions.
- Identify gaps in airline network knowledge, tools, and materials, and create new analyses, frameworks, tools, and slide decks to close them.
- Design and evaluate airline network strategies, including route selection, capacity growth/shrink decisions, network evolution over time, and responses to demand, cost, and competitive changes.
- Turn network mechanics into practical, economically sound strategy recommendations for consulting engagements.
- Build and improve reusable network planning tools, including models and GenAI-enabled solutions usable across multiple client engagements.
- Create executive-ready materials (slides, benchmarks, playbooks) and support airline client meetings and working sessions with network strategy expertise.
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of direct airline network planning experience (commercial airline network planning/strategy or top-tier consulting with substantial hands-on exposure).
- Experience with O&D demand analysis and route-level profitability, plus schedule design and seasonal planning cycles.
- Experience in route and frequency planning and fleet/aircraft assignment tradeoffs.
- Hands-on experience with airline planning tools such as NetLine/Plan, Sabre AirVision, Amadeus Sky Suite, or similar (direct usage strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of airline economics, network effects, scheduling constraints, and capacity planning logic (crew planning/rostering experience is less relevant).
- Fluency in English.
