What you will do

• Lead technical design and development of AI applications, services, and platforms using LLMs and RAG.
• Collaborate with engineering groups to build a holistic view of AI investments and reuse components.
• Drive continuous improvement in AI methodologies, evaluation frameworks, and production-grade systems.
• Champion AI literacy and adoption through technical leadership and guidance across the organization.
• Establish rigorous metrics, guardrails, and monitoring to ensure quality, safety, and SLOs.
• Optimize latency, throughput, and cost at scale while guiding architectural make/buy decisions.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong software engineering background in backend services, APIs, and data-intensive applications.
• Hands-on experience with LLM concepts including retrieval, prompt/agent design, and safety/guardrails.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, C++, or Rust.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and EKS.
• Must be based in Palo Alto, CA.

Nice to have

• Deep technical knowledge in AI/ML deployment and vector search.
• Familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance for enterprise AI systems.
