Senior Infrastructure & Security Engineer (Azure/OCI)

Location: Must be based in the UK. The role operates on a remote model with required travel to company offices, customer sites, and industry events.

What you will do

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure across Azure and Oracle Cloud for high availability and security.
• Lead the migration of manual environments to Terraform and Ansible.
• Manage security operations including patch management, threat monitoring, and penetration test coordination.
• Administer mixed Linux and Windows server estates, including Docker and Kubernetes workloads.
• Develop automation for SaaS releases and remote deployment to self-hosted customers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and MOD-aligned security frameworks.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for and able to obtain UK SC clearance (requires UK residency).
• Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI, or GCP).
• Practical experience with Terraform and Ansible in production environments.
• Solid understanding of container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes.
• Demonstrable networking skills including load balancers, WAFs, and VPNs.
• Experience in security operations, vulnerability management, and hardening environments to CIS benchmarks.

Nice to have

• Active UK SC clearance at point of hire.
• Direct experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with security tooling such as CrowdStrike, ESET, or Rapid7.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and MOD security frameworks (JSP 440).
